Slaves to Time

We are all just slaves to time. Think about it for a few moments... everything we do revolves around it. We wake up to an alarm clock that was set at a certain time. We eat breakfast, change our clothes, brush our teeth, and walk out the door all in the amount of time we have set for ourselves. We drive to school in a certain amount of time; classes meet at a pre-designated time for a pre-designated length. We leave at a certain time, eat at a certain time, go to work at a certain time, and get paid for the amount of time we work. Our lives are run by it, and our fear of death revolves around it. Our lives have become a ticking time-bomb. All we have left for ourselves to do is count down the days until the moment we believe life will end. Ironically, though, that counting down has only showed us the true moment as to which life will begin.

Good Dee Sarakas

I am watching, "Good Will Hunting," and I am trying to figure out why some, such as savants, have inconceivable gifts with such a severe handicap. Others, though, have the same inconceivable gifts, like Will Hunting, but are still an average person with basic social skills.

Sunday

It's sunday night and the first day of pre-season football. Colts vs. Redskins. I missed most of the game and I have no idea who's winning. I know that Jacob thinks I don't even want to watch this, but I do. He was embarrassed when he felt like the only one that wanted to watch football. My parents could care less, though. In addition, I promised him we would watch it. I love this man!!!
